Major Donation Accelerates Rogers State University STEM Expansion
Rogers State University has received a $4 million anonymous donation, pushing the university well beyond its original fundraising goal for a new STEM education facility on its Claremore campus.
University officials say the gift moves the project from its original $10 million fundraising goal to more than $13 million raised, marking a significant milestone toward the $35 million total project cost.
New STEM Facility Focuses on High-Demand Careers
The planned 44,000-square-foot STEM facility will be built on a parking lot just north of the RSU campus. Once completed, the building will house academic programs including chemical engineering, cybersecurity, robotics, and other science and technology disciplines aligned with workforce needs.
University leaders say the facility is designed to support hands-on learning, modern laboratories, and collaborative research spaces to better prepare students for careers in high-demand industries across Oklahoma and the region.
Construction Timeline and Campus Impact
RSU officials estimate construction will move forward following final approvals and design work. The university expects the facility to be completed in late 2027 or early 2028.
Administrators say the anonymous gift reflects strong community and donor confidence in RSU’s mission to expand STEM education and workforce development opportunities in northeast Oklahoma.
