Garfield County voters will soon decide on a one-tenth of a cent sales tax increase to fund the Chisholm Trail Expo Center and County Fairgrounds. The vote is scheduled for October 14. Currently, the fairgrounds' operations are funded by a motel tax. If passed, the tax would take effect on January 1, 2026.
