a House Committee rejects a Funding Proposal

A bill to provide long-term funding for the states 988 suicide crisis hotline failed to make it out of a House Committee.  The bill would have put a five cent per telephone line charge to cover the costs of the crisis hotline that is also used to deal with any mental health crisis.
