The Choctaw’s who were heroes in World War 1 because of their native tongue are now memorialized in bronze. 19 Code Talkers, many who attended Indian bordering schools where they were punished for using the Choctaw language, transformed that language into unbreakable code. The used it to communicate safely with commanders and troops during the war to end all wars.  The statues are at the Choctaw nation Cultural Center in Calera.
