It’s July first and more than 100 new laws will go into effect today in Oklahoma. Universities are now prohibited from using state money to support DEI efforts, children of longtime public-school teachers now qualify for the Oklahoma Promise scholarship, and there are several education reforms including an extra day for school instruction and districts are only allowed two virtual learning days each academic year and public schools must now adopt stricter rules on student cell phones at school.
