Oklahoma National Guard deployment reaches its midpoint as troops continue a 90-day mission supporting public safety in Washington, D.C.

Gov. Kevin Stitt is sending 160 Oklahoma National Guard members to Washington, D.C., for the federal “Safe and Beautiful Mission,” requiring troops to miss Christmas and New Year’s with family.

Oklahoma National Guard members deploy to the Middle East after training at Fort Bliss to support Operation Spartan Shield. Expected return next fall.
