state parks enjoy robust attendance

Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation reports they were fully-packed with 250 thousand visitors.  We’re talking about the period from Friday, May 24th, to Monday, May 28th.  All of that activity had an estimated 30-million-dollar impact on the Oklahoma economy.  Tourism Director Shelley Zumwalt says nearly 60 percent of all travel spending in this state happens in rural areas – and that’s where the state parks are located.
