The Oklahoma State Superintendent of Schools is proposing a bonus program for teachers and tutors based on educational outcomes.
If test scores go up, teachers will be rewarded. Superintendent Ryan Walters wants to spend 38 million dollars on the innovative outcome-based bonus program.
“Both our teachers and our tutors would receive bonuses based on student outcomes,” Walters said.
Walters said this would be a “first of its kind” program.
