Progress Made on Day Four of Budget Talks

There was measurable progress during day four of the budget summit talks. Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat was there with his team, the House however did not have the Speaker present, and neither was the Governor.  Senator Greg Treat is still concerned the governor won’t sign a budget deal that doesn’t include another tax cut.

The issue came up as the two sides failed to agree on a house-backed plan to add another 20 million dollars to the governor's economic development closing fund.
