The longshoreman strike will hit the Oklahoma food industry hard. Oklahoma State University Economist Rodney Holcomb tells the Journal Record easily more than one billion dollars a week in food and agriculture trade is at risk.  Holcomb notes poultry, soybeans and cotton exports will be impacted.  He adds fresh cucumbers, squash, bananas, plums, strawberries, citrus will be delayed coming from Central and South America.  Holcomb believes the supply chain shortages could reignite inflation.
