If the state sues companies accused of manipulating the market during a winter storm two years ago, several billion dollars could be recovered.
After the Attorney General announced the investigation on Tuesday, the Oklahoma Cooperation Commissioner said it would not only benefit ratepayers but send an important message.
“I think it will send a warning to these companies that if you do it again, we will come after you again,” David said.
David said she was hoping a step would be taken after spotting the malfeasance.
