House Approves Funding for Arkansas River Repairs

State House members approve a measure dedicating 50 million dollars toward upgrades along the Arkansas River. Representative Lonnie Sims of Jenks says the funding will help capitalize on 137 million dollars in federal matching funds to repair the levees along the Arkansas River in Tulsa County.  HB2890 now moves to the Senate for consideration. It would take effect on July 1 at the start of Fiscal Year 2025.
