ECU in Ada Falls Victim to Cybercriminal group BlackSuit

East Central University in Ada says it’s working closely to enhance security after an apparent cyber-attack. ECU claims to have experienced a direct cyber-attack that may have compromised the security of private information.

A cybercriminal group and militia software known as BlackSuit is allegedly responsible for the breach. Apparently, the group was able to conduct a successful attack on various campus computers but was not able to take down ACU’s critical services.
