Bill for Ag Producers Included Tax Credit for Feral Hog Control

A non-refundable $15,000 tax credit is part of a bill for Agriculture producers that has cleared a State Senate Committee. The money would be used to defer some of the cost of feral hog trapping equipment. Senator Darcy Jech had a question for Senator Cody Rogers, the bill’s sponsor.

Senator Rogers says it will cost the state government 1.5 million dollars against the multiple millions in damage caused by roaming herds of feral hogs.
