The Oklahoma Supreme Court heard both sides of a lawsuit seeking to stop the creation of the nation’s first tax-supported religious charter school. Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond filed the lawsuit and went before the court.
Attorneys for the school countered that St. Isadore Charter School is a private entity, so it can receive state tax dollars without violating the separation of church and state. The high court will issue its decision later.
