Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat has signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency for eastern Oklahoma.
Treat is serving as acting Governor while Governor Kevin Stitt and Lieutenant Governor Mike Pinnell are both out of the state.
The state of emergency is in effect for ten counties, which includes Creek, Delaware, Harper, Mayes, Pawnee, Payne, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner, and Choctaw counties, in response to a weekend storm carrying winds of up to 100 mph that knocked out electrical service to over 100,000 customers.
